How to Make Charred Broccoli with Hazelnut Romesco
- Preheat the oven by setting it to 425°F (220°C). This is the ideal temperature for getting that crispy char on your broccoli.
- Rinse and prepare the broccoli florets. After rinsing, make sure to dry them well, then arrange them evenly on a baking sheet for roasting.
- Drizzle the broccoli with extra virgin olive oil, ensuring each floret is coated. Then, sprinkle a generous amount of salt and pepper to enhance their natural flavor!
- Roast the florets in the oven for 20-25 minutes. Keep an eye on them until they are beautifully crispy and have those irresistible charred edges.
- Blend the hazelnuts, roasted red bell pepper, garlic, smoked paprika, and a drizzle of olive oil in a food processor. Process until smooth, adjusting the seasoning for a balanced flavor.
- Drizzle the romesco sauce over the roasted broccoli as it comes out of the oven. For an added crunch and visual appeal, garnish with some chopped hazelnuts.
