Method

How to Make Charred Broccoli with Hazelnut Romesco
  1. Preheat the oven by setting it to 425°F (220°C). This is the ideal temperature for getting that crispy char on your broccoli.
  2. Rinse and prepare the broccoli florets. After rinsing, make sure to dry them well, then arrange them evenly on a baking sheet for roasting.
  3. Drizzle the broccoli with extra virgin olive oil, ensuring each floret is coated. Then, sprinkle a generous amount of salt and pepper to enhance their natural flavor!
  4. Roast the florets in the oven for 20-25 minutes. Keep an eye on them until they are beautifully crispy and have those irresistible charred edges.
  5. Blend the hazelnuts, roasted red bell pepper, garlic, smoked paprika, and a drizzle of olive oil in a food processor. Process until smooth, adjusting the seasoning for a balanced flavor.
  6. Drizzle the romesco sauce over the roasted broccoli as it comes out of the oven. For an added crunch and visual appeal, garnish with some chopped hazelnuts.
