- Stir in the sliced zucchini, tomato sauce, and Italian seasoning. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the meat mixture followed by half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Repeat the layers, finishing with the cheese on top.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
- Optional: Sprinkle fresh herbs on top before serving for added color and flavor.
