Cooking Steps
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Once done, remove from the skillet and let it rest on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, add the lean ground beef and cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic with the beef; sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Mix in the marinara sauce until combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine the ricotta cheese with half of the Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a baking dish, layer ingredients starting with meat sauce, followed by noodles, half of cheese mixture, some beef mixture, and mozzarella. Repeat layers, ending with noodles and sauce on top.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil, sprinkle remaining mozzarella, and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
