For the Cheese Mixture
  • 8 oz soft cream cheese fully softened
  • 8 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp green onions, chopped
For the Coating
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
For the Decorations
  • 2 sticks carrot sticks for noses

Method
 

Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, blend together the soft cream cheese and shredded cheddar until smooth, using an electric mixer. This should take about 2-3 minutes for a creamy texture.
  2. Stir in the garlic powder and chopped green onions until well combined.
  3. Shape half of the mixture into a large ball for the body and the other half into a smaller ball for the head.
  4. Wrap both balls in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to firm up.
  5. Once chilled, roll each ball in chopped nuts to add texture. Use black olives for the eyes, carrot sticks for the noses.
